Introduction

Hi! My name is Kellyanne (she/her) and I am a Licensed Social Worker who is working on pursuing my clinical supervision to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

I identify as a white queer person. I graduated with a dual masters from Widener University in 2019 and since this time have been providing social and therapeutic support to transgender and gender expansive adolescents and their families.

What it’s like to see me as a therapist

When you join me in session I feel it is my role as a provider to meet you where you are at to be able to work together to address the reasons you are coming to therapy. It is my goal that you feel comfortable and secure in sessions so you feel able to be challenged to grow and flourish in the aspects of your life you are hoping to improve.

I bring my own humanity into session and encourage my clients to show up as their most authentic versions of themselves to help do the hard work of working on unpacking the areas causing stress, strain, or areas of self exploration.

As a therapist I value my clients experiences and meet them where they are at and work with them to define goals.

I feel that collaboration is a valuable part of the therapeutic experience and I work to create an environment where each client can feel seen, heard, and respected. It is my honor to serve my clients to best address their current needs and support their future goals.

I believe that each person holds the key to their own truth and part of therapy is finding out where the key lives and how to access it to bring forth their most authentic version of themselves.

About me

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my partner and two lovely cats. I love to find time to read or listen to audiobooks. I love eating and cooking and am always looking for new recipes to try.  In growing up by the beach I always find ways to stay connected to the ocean to help keep me grounded.

Education

I received two Masters degrees from Winder University in 2019; Masters of Social Work and Masters of Education in Human Sexuality. During my graduate and post graduate experience my area of focus is working with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and their families.

In an effort to continue to further my education in 2021 I completed the Widener University training program in Affirming Approaches for Transgender individuals and Communities.

I also have experience and competence in writing letters of support for gender affirming medical care.

Ages

11 and up. I really enjoy working with adolescents, families, caregivers and young adults.
