Introduction

Hi, I’m Olivia (Liv) Emerich (they/she). I’m a licensed social worker and trauma therapist. At Arrive Therapy, I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity exploration, and trauma recovery. I bring a person-centered, heart-forward approach to therapy, grounded in collaboration, warmth, and cultural humility.

Education

I hold an Undergraduate degree in Creative Writing from Indiana University, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Boston College and am a licensed social worker (LSW). I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 7 years in a wide range of roles—from providing in-home and school-based therapy to managing mental health programs and developing community-based psychoeducational resources.

About Me

I came into this work not just as a therapist, but as a person who's been through my own healing and growth. I’m a queer, nonbinary person, and I know how powerful it can be to have someone walk alongside you as you figure things out. I’m deeply creative—I love writing, making music, and finding beauty in unexpected places. Being outside helps me feel grounded and alive; I spend as much time as I can in the woods, near water, or just soaking up sunshine.

What It’s Like to See Me as a Therapist

Clients often describe me as warm, intuitive, and deeply present. I strive to create a space that feels safe, empowering, and nonjudgmental—where you can be real, messy, hopeful, stuck, or anything in between. Our work together will be collaborative and tailored to your needs. I’ll bring my expertise and tools, but also curiosity, creativity, and deep respect for your inner wisdom. My hope is that you leave each session feeling more connected to yourself and your capacity to heal.
