Introduction

Hi, I’m Alexander Stefanini (he/him).  I am the owner of Arrive Therapy and identify as a trans man. I started Arrive Therapy with the goal of providing high quality counseling and mental health care uniquely tailored to transgender and gender diverse individuals.  At Arrive, we honor the unique journey of each TGD individual when it comes to gender identity and sexuality – no two journeys are the same.

Education

I received a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004. I have been working with kids, teens, families and adults since 2002.

About me

The initial motivation that propelled me to become a counselor was to help kids who were abused and did not have any caring, supportive adults in their lives.  I now get to combine my passion for helping teens needing support with my own life and identity as a trans identified person.

What its like to see me as a therapist

If you come to therapy with me, I hope that you experience me as a kind, compassionate, engaged therapist. But I hope that you will also leave each session challenged and with new things to work on and new perspectives on your life that are useful to you. I hope that you will feel empowered to make proactive and constructive changes in your life through our interactions.
