About Me

I have a deep love for film that was sparked when I saw the movie Ladybird for the first time, and I try to fit in time to watch as many movies as I can between work and school. I love music; my top artists include Phoebe Bridgers and Djo. I try to live by embracing the unknown and understanding that everything is figureoutable. In my free time, I love going to concerts, playing guitar and aggressive inline skating at the skate park!

Why I Became A Therapist

I became a therapist because I believe in the power of being truly seen and heard. Like many, I’ve moved through my own experiences with identity, anxiety, and trauma. I know how life-changing it can be to have a space where you don’t have to explain the basics of who you are. Therapy is both healing and radical. It should be a place where we can question the stories we've inherited and reconnect with our voice, while making space for empathy, truth, and growth. I’m here because I want to walk alongside people as they make meaning in their lives and begin to feel more like themselves again.

Modalities (at a glance)

  • Centering the impact of systems and power dynamics through lived experience in the therapy space. Invites space for exploring how identity, oppression, and resistance shape emotional well-being and healing.

  • Safety and empowerment are foundational. Therapy work is done gently and intentionally, honoring each person’s pace and capacity as we navigate difficult or painful experiences together.

  • At the core of person-centered work is a belief in your inherent worth. Aim to build a nonjudgmental and authentic relationship where you feel seen, supported, and respected.

  • Together, explore the stories you’ve been told and those you tell about yourself, and begin to re-author them in ways that feel more true to your journey.

  • Support clients in understanding attachment patterns and creating more secure, connected experiences in the present.

  • Invite mindfulness and body awareness as tools for grounding and developing a more gentle relationship with thoughts and emotions.

  • Healing happens in connection. This approach emphasizes the importance of supportive relationships, including the one we build in therapy.

  • Work with you to recognize your resilience and what is already working, even in small ways.

  • Gently getting to know the different ā€œpartsā€ of ourselves that hold pain ,or protect us with compassion and curiosity.

  • While not formally trained in somatic modalities, I bring basic body awareness into sessions as an important piece of processing emotions and restoring safety in the nervous system.

  • Understanding the ā€œwhyā€ behind our experiences can be powerful. Offer tools and insights that support your growth both in and beyond therapy.

How I Work

What to Expect (first 1–2 sessions)

We’ll take time to understand your needs and goals at your own pace. It is important to begin building a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel seen and supported.

Our early sessions are about getting to know each other, exploring what brought you here, and creating a therapy experience that fits you. No pressure, just connection!

  • Where your insights and instincts are valued

  • There is a strong stress for validating your autonomy, and lived experiences through systems that may have been against you

  • It is important to have a willingness to explore whatever comes up, even the messy or uncertain parts

  • I draw from various modalities to meet you where you are

  • Including the occasional silly anecdote or joke, because healing doesn’t have to be rigid and clinical

Resources I often share with clients.

Supporting a trans child involves actively engaging in their trans experience with curiosity and an open mind. When you ask questions, ensure that you approach your child with genuine interest rather than judgment or bias. This approach is essential in supporting a trans child effectively, as your child will sense your authenticity and feel more comfortable sharing their true feelings and experiences.

Chromosomes play a significant role in determining biological sex, but the traditional binary understanding of sex as solely male (XY) or female (XX) oversimplifies the complexity of sex determination. Many other chromosomal arrangements and inherent variations in gene expression patterns exist, leading to a more nuanced understanding of sex as a spectrum comprised of many traits. Intersex variations, which encompass a wide range of natural biological differences, can involve differences in chromosomes, external genitalia, internal reproductive organs, hormone production, and hormone responsiveness. These variations challenge the binary classification of sex and highlight the diversity of biological sex characteristics.

Understanding gender dysphoria and providing the right support can make a significant difference in the lives of those experiencing it. Gender dysphoria, characterized by a profound discomfort with one’s assigned gender at birth, requires compassionate and effective therapeutic approaches. This post explores Gender-Affirming Therapy in Paoli, PA, highlighting the best types of therapy for gender dysphoria, how to support someone going through it, and the stages of treatment involved.

LGBTQ-affirming therapy offers a safe, inclusive space for individuals to explore their identities, process emotional challenges, and build resilience. For gay men, therapy can be a transformative experience, addressing unique pressures such as navigating societal stigma, managing relationships, and coping with mental health challenges like depression.
