LGBTQ+ Artists Invited to Submit Work for Exhibitions
The Art Gallery at the William Way LGBT Community Center in Philadelphia is currently accepting submissions from LGBTQ artists for upcoming solo and group exhibitions. The gallery exclusively showcases artwork by artists who self-identify as LGBTQ, though the subject matter does not need to be explicitly LGBTQ-focused.
“This is an opportunity for LGBTQ artists to have their work prominently displayed and appreciated.”
- Alissa Roach
"We are interested in highlighting the diverse artistic perspectives and human experiences of the LGBTQ community," said Alissa Roach, the gallery's curator. "This is an opportunity for LGBTQ artists to have their work prominently displayed and appreciated."

To be considered, artists must submit a multi-page PDF containing several key elements, including:
Artist name, pronouns, contact information, and website
Proposal for a solo exhibit or pre-formed group exhibit
Artist statement(s) of up to 250 words
Curator statement of up to 250 words for group exhibits
Biographical statements of up to 100 words

Rolling Review Process
Unlike periodic open calls, the William Way gallery accepts submissions on a rolling basis for ongoing review by their Art Gallery Committee. "We'll respond to those proposals that have piqued our interest," Roach explained.
Interested LGBTQ artists should email their submission PDFs to Alissa Roach with the subject line "Gallery Submission." This open call represents an exciting opportunity for LGBTQ artists to share their creativity and have their voices heard.
