These organizations are fighting for trans rights:

1). OUTMemphis
OUTMemphis is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ community centers in the South. For over 33 years, OUTMemphis has sought to empower, connect, educate, and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community- They serve as the main connection point for finding and connecting individuals with resources related to LGBTQ+ issues, and fosters collaboration among a diverse array of LGBTQ+ organizations.

2). Trans Empowerment Project
The Trans Empowerment Project was founded back in 2016, by Jack Knoxville, a trans man. Their agenda is simple: Educate allies, empower communities, and ensure that we all thrive. They are working to move the trans community out of crisis and into empowerment by focusing on the abolition of white supremacy to ensure that our most marginalized community members can thrive and live their best lives.

3). Campaign for Southern Equality
In 2011, the Campaign For Southern Equality was founded- This organization is working to build a South where people are equal in every part of life. Their work is deeply rooted in empathy and in commitments to equity in race, gender, and class.

4). Transgender Law Center
The Transgender Law Center has been deeply involved with many legal battles for trans rights over the years. Their vision: "Trans people deserve the freedom to thrive. We demand a world without cages. We envision a world where people in sex work economies have rights and protections, and where sex work is no longer used as a justification for violence and harm. We demand not only freedom, but active community support in building lives for ourselves and our families on our own terms."

“…empower individuals to make tangible change in the fight for transgender rights...”

5). Trans Justice Funding Project
The Trans Justice Funding Project is a community-led funding initiative that was founded back in 2012, to support grassroots. They center the leadership of trans people organizing around their experiences with racism, economic injustice, transmisogyny, ableism, immigration, incarceration, and other intersecting oppressions

6). Trans Formations Project
The Trans Formations Project is an independent group of trans researchers, writers, and activists who maintain a comprehensive database of current anti-trans legislation. They are committed to compiling this information in a single place in order to shorten the path from information to action on behalf of constituents, and empower individuals to make tangible change in the fight for transgender rights.
